The word ayurveda means "the science of self-healing". Ayurveda is an ancient system of traditional medicine that originated in India. It is based on the belief that health and wellness depend on a balance between the mind, body, and spirit. Ayurveda seeks to restore balance in the body through the use of diet, lifestyle changes, and natural therapies including yoga.
In this workshop you will learn the basic principles of ayurveda, how to identify an imbalance in your body and, importantly, how to restore the balance. Learn how to support your wellbeing by tweaking your daily activities and nutrition. This day retreat is for everyone who takes an interest in their wellbeing and in learning what they can do to feel even better in their daily lives.
