Yoga Works for Children

I came to yoga as an adult and was amazed to find that  many of the ‘official’ yoga postures which I was taught were ones that I had loved as a child.  Children do a lot of yoga naturally and instinctively.  Yoga works for children because it is simple and makes them feel good.

By starting young, yoga can give children a positive foundation in life with core skills which can be used again and again whenever they need or want.

Yoga helps children become calm, strong teenagers and adults at ease with themselves and full of self-belief.

Kids & Teens

"As a student that struggles with bad anxiety, doing yoga with Annabel really helped me to relax and be more in control of my own breathing. I have always wanted to do yoga, but I had never had the opportunity to start but when it became an option at my school, I started to do it weekly and even had a 1:1 with Annabel where she helped me with my posture, increased the flexibility of my back and helped strengthen my joints due to my hypermobility. Annabel is incredibly good at helping you to feel relaxed especially if it is not something that you are used to doing so if you have any hesitance about starting yoga, she's great to start with as she will make you feel incredibly comfortable with what you are doing. In my classes, the lessons were unique to you such as if you were having back pain that day Annabel would adapt the lesson to help and support your needs. Highly recommend her classes, it was one of the things I looked forward to most every week!"
